International Women's Day 2026 is another important day that not only makes us realize that every woman needs to pay attention to her health despite her age. Today’s women perform various roles; they act as a mother, an office-going woman, as a daughter, and even as a wife, so it is important that they pay attention to their own selves too. Our habits play an important role in our lives, despite gender, but in a woman's body a lot of changes happen, like slow metabolism , hormonal changes, and the stress that comes from work and life both. It is important that a woman think of herself before thinking about everyone else. Why does health become essential for women in their 30s ?

As I've mentioned before , it is important to maintain health at any age. It is essential to understand the body , the rapidly changing reproductive health , and prevent chronic diseases like diabetes by developing habits which also prevent health complications in the future. The increasing stress between work and personal life can cause hypertension , which is why it is important to pay attention to mental health too.

 

Slow metabolism 

As the age increases the metabolism decreases , the body starts gaining weight and the muscle tone and bone density becomes weak and it automatically leads to physical changes.

 

Hormonal changes 

As the amount of release of estrogen and progesterone rapidly changes it leads to frequent mood swings , fatigue and changes in the menstrual cycles.

Reproductive health

As the age increases , the reproductive capacity declines and it is important to do the family planning before getting late or at a certain age if you are planning to have kids. Apart from it , it is important to maintain reproductive health concerns , and to visit a gynaecologist regularly in case of good sexual health.

 

Long term disease risk 

Risk factors which can cause diabetes or heart diseases , can be prevented by having a good nutrition diet and maintaining a good lifestyle and health habits.

 

Stress management 

As the age increases , the stress from both professional and personal life increases, degrading physical and mental health. It is important to manage stress by keeping in mind both the mental and physical health.

Balanced diet 

It is important to have a meal everyday which is balanced in equal proportions of vitamins , fibres and starch , as everything plays a certain role in maintaining a healthy body. The protein powder can also be consumed by women in case of lack of iron ,and calcium. Folic acid is an underrated ingredient that should be in your diet on a regular basis. 

 

  • Consistent timing of having meals 
  • Consuming more seasonal fruits and increase the amount of vegetables in your diet
  • The specific amount of water consumption is crucial
  • Preferring home cooked food over fast food or processed food

Cardio workouts are essential for movement of the body like cycling or jogging.

Yoga is important for managing mental stress and making body movements more flexible.

Limit you screen time

It is important to prioritize your sleep , and decrease the screen time. A good sleep is important for the regeneration of cells , maintaining good skin and preventing eye problems. High screen time decreases sleep and disrupts our sleep cycle.

 

Immunity matters

 A healthy immunity protects you from all the invisible viruses and diseases , and it also prevents us from falling sick frequently. So it is important to maintain strong immunity by following a nutritious diet rich in vitamins and minerals.

 

Don’t be careless about sleep 

Maintaining a 6 hour sleep is essential , apart from following healthy eating habits. Sleep is also crucial for a full functioning of the body and the brain. A lack of sleep causes the body to give low emotional responses , imbalanced memory , and irritability.

 

Balancing work and life 

It is important to not get overwhelmed by the stress from work and life both , it can cause physical and mental strain too if prolonged. Balance is the key here and it can be completed by following a good fitness routine and a nutrition diet.
